Scientist, Machine Learning

Description
We are seeking a talented and motivated Machine Learning Scientist with expertise in integrating multi-omic data. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work on designing, developing, and implementing advanced machine learning algorithms to extract insights from unique and large-scale multi-omic data sets. The ideal candidate will have experience in applying machine learning approaches to biological data and will be able to work collaboratively with our team of data scientists, biologists, and software engineers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement machine learning algorithms for multi-omic data integration
- Analyze and interpret multi-omic data sets to produce biological insights and generate hypotheses
- Collaborate with biologists and data scientists to design experiments and validate findings
- Create and maintain documentation of methods and results for reproducibility
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of the company’s overall research strategy
- Stay up-to-date with latest advancements in machine learning, multi-omic data integration, and relevant scientific fields
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, or a related field
- Postdoctoral experience in machine learning or bioinformatics is preferred
- Strong programming skills in Python or R and experience with machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Experience in multi-omic data integration, including integration of genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics data
- Familiarity with biological databases (e.g., NCBI, UniProt, KEGG)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- A record of scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals is preferred
